A Blog (aka weblog) is an online diary just like a regular diary where you write down your thoughts on the day that was. The online version is cool as you get to add in gadgets and stuff onto the published page. Blogs can range from news, hobbies, ideas, photos, projects , er well basically whatever you wish for it to be.
Whether it is to document your innermost hopes and fears (you can choose to make it private) or to share useful information (obviously you'd want it to be public) there are no limits.
Anyone young and old can start a blog at no cost i.e. a good, basic service is Blogger.com, which is owned by Google. Despite being free Blogger is a powerful and has easy-to-use publishing tools. I should know as I am totally computer unsavvy.
So just go ahead and sign up with Blogger or any other platform that you prefer. Once you get the hang of the basics of posting, editing you may even want to try your hand at making money online . You could market your own products or be an affiliate and market products for retailers.
If you ever find yourself confused or lost. Don't worry! Just Google (or search using your favorite search engine) your way out of the problem.
As this is my first post (after creating account and choosing a blog name) I have only begun by going to my "dashboard" and added my first gadget, Feedjit a widget to see where the last 100 visitors to my site are located.
Next I placed an Adsense advertisement banner and should visitors click on the ad I will earn a small income from Adsense. So you too can get started in a matter of minutes. Hope to see you blogging soon!
